Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the genuineness of merchandise by comparing a 2nd cipher result displayed on the displaying part of a confirming device with a 1st cipher result displayed on the indicator of a checking unit attached to the merchandise, for instance, in the case the checking unit is attached to the merchandise and the confirming device can be operated around the merchandise and confirming that the two are the same. SOLUTION: This system prevents forgery by a checking unit that enciphers and displays prescribed information and a confirming device that enciphers and displays prescribed information. The checking unit stores a key generated by a key generating part 113 in a key storing part 115. The key generation is performed when the checking unit upper part 101 is separated from the lower part 102, the parts 101 and 102 are subsequently connected, and when they are separated again, a common key is eliminated. That is, if an attempt is made to illegally extract the common key, the common key is lost and enciphering is set so that cannot be performed again. Such a checking unit is attached to merchandise and cipher results that are displayed on the checker and the confirming device respectively are compared to confirm that the merchandise is true.
