Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immobilizer capable of improving an anti-theft effect of a vehicle, and a key-left preventing method by the immobilizer.
SOLUTION: This immobilizer 1 determines whether an engine starting key is peculiar to a vehicle or not on the basis of information of a transponder. The immobilizer 1 comprises a communication presence/absence detecting means 19 detecting the presence or absence of communication of a communicating portion 3 wireless-communicating with the transponder T, an off-state detecting means 17 detecting an off-state of a main switch 24, a recognizing means 18 recognizing that a key KY is forgot to be removed when detecting the communication of the communicating portion 3 and the off-state of the main switch 24, and a buzzer 10 warning a driver when the recognizing means 18 the leaving state of the key KY.
