PURPOSE: To obtain a new method for classifying human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) strain, a prepared substance of peptide effective for a waccine, etc., preventing HIV infection based on this classifying method and further a prepared substance of antibody effective for preventing and treating HIV infection.
CONSTITUTION: A great number of HIV strains are classified based on protein secondary structure of PND range estimated by GOR method (protein secondary structure analysis by Robson, et al.) from PND amino acid sequence of HIV into 6 groups and PND peptide or anti-PND specific neutralized antibody is selected from at least two groups among main group I to group V to give an immunizing antigen effective for HIV infection and a prepared substance of peptide and a prepared substance of neutralized antibody effective for preventing or treating HIV infection.
