Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I (wherein m is 0, 1 or 2, R is H, amino or halogen R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl or pyridyl, R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl and R3 is H, 1-4C alkyl or phenyl) and a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: N,N'-(sulfonyldi-p-phenylene)bis[N,N'-diethylbutylamidine].
USE: An immune response modulation agent.
PROCESS: Properly substituted amide represented by formula III is treated with phosphorus oxychloride in dry acetonitrile at about 0-10°C and the treated mixture is heated to room temp. to be reacted with a half mol. amt. of a compd. represented by formula II to obtain the compd. represented by fomrula I.
