PURPOSE: To enable the stable excellent efficiency of energy absorption to be established while enabling the repetitive use of an impact energy absorbing body by making a mounting surface to a mounted member of the front surface of the honey comb-like absorbing body consisting of an elastic body and a shock receiving surface of the rear surface.

CONSTITUTION: An equilateral hexagonal honey comb-like absorbing body 1 consisting of an elastic body of thermoplastic foamed resin or the like is formed on the front surface with a mounting surface 1a corresponding to the shape of a mounted member, while being formed on the rear surface with an impact receiving surface 1b to provide an integral molding. The elastic material molded like a honey-comb is not broken down by strain and stably absorbs an impact load. In particular, the stable excellent efficiency of energy absorption can be established by making the honey comb-like elastic body having at least 90° of internal angle to hold fixedly the load of the energy absorbing body generated by the buckling displacement even if the load is increased.
