To provide an impact tool which reduces noise without reducing tightening capability and prevents damage of the impact tool due to wear and crack of a damper to improve its durability.
This impact tool is constituted by mounting a rotary impact mechanism on a spindle 7 rotated and driven by a motor to give rotary impact force to a tip tool by transmitting the rotary impact force generated by the rotary impact mechanism to the tip tool through an anvil 3 from a hammer 8 intermittently. The rubber damper 13 is provided between two divided pieces 3A and 3B formed by dividing the anvil 3 into two parts in the axial direction, sleeve-like projecting parts 3g, 3h are protrudedly provided in the axial direction in an inside diameter part where both divided pieces 3A, 3B oppose mutually, and the rubber damper 13 is arranged on outer peripheral sides of the projecting parts 3g, 3h.
