Relating to this impact type pneumatic pulverizer provided with an accelerating pipe 9 for conveying and accelerating granular substances by compressed air, a pulverizing chamber 7a communicating with an air outlet 9b provided at one end of the accelerating pipe 9, and an impact member 16 having an impact surface 18a for pulverizing the conveyed and accelerated granular substances when they come into collision with it and arranged in the pulverizing chamber 7a so that the impact surface 18a is opposite to the air outlet 9b of the accelerating pipe 9, the impact member 16 is formed of a material of good heat conductivity, treatment of reducing friction is applied to the impact surface 18a, and cooling means 21, 22, 23 for cooling the impact member 16 are provided.
