The impervious membrane lifting type selective intake facility has the impervious membranes 34B-34D hanging from frames 31B-31D arranged in multiple stages to surround the periphery of an intake 2 of a bank 1, in the overlapping manner of the upper and lower impervious membranes 34B-34D, and takes in overflow water from the top of the uppermost stage frame 31B liftable by a lift 15, from the intake 2. The front face 1a of the bank 1 is provided with impervious membrane contact plates 60 vertically extending along the inner surfaces of both ends 34a of the innermost side impervious membrane 34D, and impervious membrane presser plates 61 vertically extending along the outer surfaces of both ends 34a of the outermost side impervious membrane 34B, to hold both ends 34a of the respective impervious membranes 34B-34D.
