Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a compatible implantation-type coil patch electrode having a number of conductive elements for a defibrillation and for a treatment of tachycardia. CONSTITUTION: An unlined (non-insulated) open electrode structure has a lead 1 having a discharge surface formed by such meshed and stranded conductive elements 19 preferably as a coil which can be implanted in a human body and the electrode structure is classified according to patterns of loop, linear array and radio-array and the electrode has such a lead as to be placed on the surface of the epicardium of the left and right of the heart or in its vicinity.
