Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate plastic impregnation and plastic removing steps by obtaining an impregnated pellet in which electron emission is uniformly performed and employing a porous pellet having a gas formed by a certain array of a heat-resisting metal rod. CONSTITUTION: An electron emissive material 4 is fused and impregnated in a gas formed by arraying a plurality of metal rods 3 in a heat resisting metal cylinder 2 released at both ends, thereby constituting a base body of a rod- shaped pellet 1. The rod-shaped pellet base body is cut in a given size, and the cut face is processed and completed by vibration and tilting operations of a processing plate.
