Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound industrially advantageously and safely, useful as an intermediate for guanidine derivatives used as insecticides by nitrating a specific compound, reacting the obtained product, without isolating and purifying, with a specific compound.
SOLUTION: The objective compound expressed by formula III [R1 is a (substituted) hydrocarbon; R2 is H or a (substituted) hydrocarbon; Q is a (substituted) heterocycle], [e.g. O-methyl-N-(2-chloro-5-thiazolylmethyl)-N'- nitroisourea, or the like.] is obtained by nitrating a compound expressed by formula I or its salt (preferably O-methylisoures sulfate, O-methylisourea 1/2 sulfate, or the like) using nitric acid, preferably in the presence of sulfuric acid and reacting the obtained compound of formula II or its salt, without isolating and purifying, with a compound of the formula Q-CH2-NH-R2 or its salt [e.g. 5-(aminomethyl)-2-chlorothiazole, or the like], preferably at pH 5-8.
