Abstract:
To provide compositions excellent in capability of releasing active agents over a long period of time.
Controlled release compositions comprise: active agents such as antibacterial compounds, antifungal compounds, antiinflammatory compounds and skin-care compounds; adsorbent polymer particles containing allyl methacrylate or ethylene glycol dimethacrylate; and water-soluble release retardants such as poly(lactic acid), polyols, salts of C8-C20 fatty acids, alkanolamides, water soluble polymers, biological polymers, gum, and carbohydrates.
