Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce therapeutic cells that can be used independent of whether or not there is an HLA match between a donor and a recipient.SOLUTION: A method comprises: stimulating donor PBMCs or donor cord blood with an antigen in order to activate the growth of T cells that have native antigen specificity to the antigen, so as to produce an antigen-specific T cell population that comprises native antigen receptors that have antigen specificity to the antigen. Then, the antigen-specific T cell population is altered to include therapeutic attributes independent of the antigen specificity of the native antigen receptors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
