Abstract:
The fastening system for a printing sleeve (3) or blanket carrier on a cylindrical drive roller (1) consists of a deformable liner (2) between the sleeve and roller, which has a series of surface cavities (7) separated by supporting surfaces (12). The liner is designed to deform into the cavities by means of a pressure or suction created by an air feed (15) or extraction (9, 11) system. The roller and sleeve have an angular indexing mechanism in the form of a spring-loaded peg (25) and matching recess (31) in the roller and sleeve respectively.
