Title:
IMPROVED RESIDUAL OIL FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING PROCESS FOR INCREASING CATALYTIC METAL TOLERANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000319667
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an improved fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) process for treating residual oil.

An improved residual oil fluid catalytic cracking process which reduces the inactivation of a catalyst to be caused by vanadium and/or sodium in the treatment of a residual oil feed comprises contacting the used catalyst 14 with an oxygen-containing regenerating gas 7 in regenerators 6 and 8 under catalyst regenerating conditions which are effective for removing most of the carbonaceous deposits from the used catalyst by burning and also comprise such a combination of the oxygen level of the regenerating gas and the regenerating temperature as not to completely oxidize most of the vanadium or the sodium on this catalyst.
