Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal cable assembly not breaking when a dynamic load is applied, by installing two jackets around a low friction layer and a reinforcing member array, and coupling together the jackets in the specified open region of the reinforcing member. SOLUTION: A cable assembly concerned 10 is equipped with a signal transmission core 12 partitioned by either an electroconductive element or an optical fiber element. A low friction layer 14 containing porous fluoropolymer is provided around the core 12, and an inner jacket 16 is installed around this low friction layer 14. At least one reinforcing member array 18 is furnished around the inner jacket 16. This array 18 is partitional by at least one synthetic fiber reinforcing member equipped with a plurality of filaments. An outer jacket 20 is installed around the array 18. The two jackets 16, 29 are coupled together in the specified open region of the array 18.
