Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved formulations of amphoteric liposomes containing neutral lipids.SOLUTION: An amphoteric liposome containing neutral lipids is provide in which the neutral lipids are selected from the group consisting of cholesterol and mixtures of cholesterol and at least one neutral or zwitterionic lipid and in which K (neutral) of the mixture is 0.3 or less. Preferably, κ (neutral) of the mixture of cholesterol and at least one neutral or zwitterionic lipids is less than 0.25, preferably less than 0.2 and most preferably less than 0.15.SELECTED DRAWING: None
