PURPOSE: To improve intial drying characteristics considerably by coating paint consisting basically of a resin containing a silyl group consisting of a specific compsn. then curing and drying the substrate in an atmosphere of specific temp.

CONSTITUTION: The paint consisting basically of a dilyl group contg. resin of which the main chain consists substantially of a vinyl polymer and which contains at least 1, more preferably ≥2 silicon groups combined with hydrolyzable groups in one molecule as expressed by the formula, and consisting of a curing catalyst and a solvent is coated. In the formula, X is a hydrolyzable group, R2, R2 are hydrogen or 1W10C alkyl groups, aryl groups, or aralkyl groups, and n is 1, 2, 3 integers, which hydrolyzable groups are halogen, alkoxy, etc. The coated material is cured and dried at relatively lower temp. by about 25W80°C, in an atmosphere of 0.02(kg H2O/kg dry air) absolute humidity.
