Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently evacuate a pedal pad side of an operation pedal even when displacement of a dash panel is small.
SOLUTION: When a dash panel 24 is pushed out to a driver's seat side in a vehicle collision, an auxiliary bracket 30, following the pushing, is moved being guided by a support shaft 14 via an oblong hole 32, and a tip 30a of a back portion is abutted to a projection 10a provided for the top of a brake pedal 10. Thereby, the brake pedal 10 is rotated clockwise of the support shaft 14, and a pedal pad 22 is evacuated to the front side of the vehicle. The brake pedal is arranged on the dash panel 24 side, an abutting member is placed on a cowl 16 side, and when the brake pedal is moved to the driver's seat side in the vehicle collision, the brake pedal may be rotated with engagement between the projection provided for the brake pedal and the abutting member.
