Abstract:
To find an efficient surfactant capable of identifying efficiently a protein of low expression level, and added in a process for digesting the protein in gel to be extracted, and to identify the protein of the low expression level not allowing detection by a conventional method, in proteome analysis.
5-Cyclohexyl-pentyl-beta-D-maltoside is added when the protein is digested in the gel. The efficiency for digesting and extracting the protein in the gel is enhanced by this manner, and the protein is identified by identifying the protein with measurement by a mass spectrometer.
