Title:
IN-LINE LASER DULL-WORKING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06170564
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable dull-working in line and to contrive the improvement of workability and the reduction of grinding cost by transferring a laser to rolling rolls with fibers for transferring and converging it on the surface of roll after adjusting the position.

CONSTITUTION: The laser which is emitted from a laser oscillator 1 is transferred to work rolls 5 for rolling with the fibers 2 for transferring. The adjustment of position is executed by driving stages 3 for controlling working position in the axial direction and radial direction of the rolls 5 and dull-working is executed by converging the laser on the surfaces of rolls 5 by using condenser lenses 4 mounted on the stages 3. The deterioration of working is prevented by executing gas purge to prevent the soiling on the surfaces of the condenser lenses 4. In this way, roughness is recovered in-line without pulling the work rolls 5 for rolling out of a rolling mill.
