Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an in-plane sealing agent for organic EL display elements, which has excellent coatability, wet spreadability and curability. The present invention also addresses the problem of providing a sealing agent set for organic EL display elements, which contains a periphery-sealing agent and the in-plane sealing agent for organic EL display elements. The present invention is an in-plane sealing agent for organic EL display elements, which can be applied onto the inside of a water-absorbent-containing periphery-sealing agent for organic EL display elements upon use, and which contains a curable resin and a cation polymerization initiator, wherein the curable resin contains a cycloalkene oxide-type alicyclic epoxy compound having a silicone backbone, the viscosity of the whole of the in-plane sealing agent for organic EL display elements is 50 to 150 mPa·s inclusive as measured using a type-E viscometer under the conditions of 25°C and 20 rpm.
