Title:
IN-SITU TEST FOR OBTAINING HORIZONTAL PRESSURE OF GROUND BY IN-SITU GROUND FREEZING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01250591
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure the title pressure correctly by forming a hole after freezing an in-situ ground, inserting a testing device into the hole and obtaining horizontal pressure of the ground after waiting until the in-situ freezing ground is melted.

CONSTITUTION: An in-situ ground 1 is frozen, and the in-situ freezing ground 3 is cut out by a core tube to form a hole 6. A testing device 7 of rubber bag is inserted into the hole 6 of the in-situ freezing ground 3, expanding the rubber bag with specific fluid pressure. After waiting until the in-situ freezing ground 3 is melted, the ground is going to deform in the radial direction of the hole 6 according to the melting of the ground, but the fluid pressure of the testing device 7 is adjusted to keep it always at a state of no-deformation. The fluid pressure of the testing device 7 is obtained as constrained pressure in the horizontal direction of the in-situ ground 1 in case the in-situ freezing ground 3 is completely melted.
