Abstract:
To provide an on-vehicle internal combustion engine which can suppress the generation of noise resulting from the discharge of intake air into a fender space from an intake port when valve-opening an air bypass valve.SOLUTION: An intake port 12A2 of an intake passage 12 of an internal combustion engine 10 is formed in a fender space 120. The internal combustion engine 10 comprises: a communication part 12A3 arranged between the intake port 12A2 in the intake passage 12 and a compressor 21 of a supercharger 20, and making the inside of the intake passage 12 and the inside of an engine compartment 110 communicate with each other; an opening/closing mechanism 30 for opening the intake port 12A2, and operated so as to bring about a first state for blocking the communication part 12A3, and a second state for blocking the intake port 12A2, and opening the communication passage 12A3; and a control device 40 for bringing the opening/closing mechanism 30 into the second state when an air bypass valve 15 is valve-opened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
