Abstract:
To make data analysis by interception of an attacker difficult and improve the security strength.SOLUTION: An in-vehicle system provided in a vehicle 100 transmits and receives data between a transmission side ECU 101A and a reception side ECU 101B. A message authentication unit of the transmission side ECU 101A generates difference data based on a MAC value generated from the transmission data and a MAC value generated from the previously-transmitted data, and transmits the MAC value including the difference data together with the transmission data. The message authentication unit of the reception side ECU 101B generates a MAC value from the received data, generates difference data based on the generated MAC value and the MAC value generated from the previously-received data, and determines the validity of the received data by comparing the generated difference data and the difference data included in the received data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
