To provide a method for inactivating bacteria or viruses by ultraviolet light while suppressing an insect-attracting effect.SOLUTION: Application of such emission light can suppress an insect-attracting effect that has a peak wavelength in a wavelength range of 200 nm or more and less than 240 nm and reduced light intensity in the wavelength range of 250 nm or more and less than 550 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
