Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely seal an envelope.SOLUTION: Water is applied to a re-wetting paste part P21 of envelope paper P2 by a water applying pad 223 by a pressing sheet metal operation part 96 and a water addition mechanism 99 of an envelope forming part 85, and the re-wetting paste part P21 of the envelope paper P2 passing through a sealing part 86 is held/press-fitted by sealing roller pairs 88 of the sealing part 86, and before discharging to a sealed document discharge part 92, when detecting a sealing state of only the envelope paper P2 by a non-sealing detection unit 90 on a passage of an envelope carrying passage 49, carrying of the envelope paper P2 is interrupted, and the water applying pad 223 of the water adding mechanism part 99 is made to execute water impregnation operation for impregnating water 222 in a water storage vessel 221. Thus, even if the water adding mechanism 99 is constituted so that the water applying pad 223 accurately contacts with the re-wetting paste part P21 of the envelope paper P2, since the water 222 in the water storage vessel 221 is not sufficiently impregnated into the water applying pad 223, the envelope paper P2 is prevented from being continuously discharged to the sealed document discharge part 92 in an unsealed state.
