Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an index image that is estimated useful and to avoid an index image that is unimportant from being displayed.
SOLUTION: The index image display device, that displays a frame representing each shot of images sequentially received in time series as an index image, is provided with a shot time length measurement section 4 that measures a consecutive time length of each shot, a frame information quantity measurement section 5 that measures an evaluation result of a change quantity of information for each frame of each shot, and a display control section 8 that selects a frame representing each shot on the basis of the evaluation result of the change quantity of the information and the consecutive time length and that displays the selected frame as the index image.
