PURPOSE: To make a more accurate color demodulation possible by providing a control signal forming part, which controls the phase and the frequency of index signals, in a color filter to form index signals according to the distortion of the scanning output face.
CONSTITUTION: Color filter 1 of the single tube-system color camera unit is provided with control signal forming parts 14A (horizontal scanning region) and 14B (vertical scanning region) for controlling the phase and the frequency of index signal SI according to the distortion of scanning output face P. The camera unit is constituted by image pickup tube 5, pre-amplifier 6, LPf 7, BPF 8, color demodulator circuit 9 (signal SI is used for demodulation), forming circuit 10 of signal SI, etc., besides control signal forming parts above, and chrominance signals obtained from color encoder 11 are synthesized with luminance signals by 12 and become normal color video signals. Then, a part of filter 1 is used for forming parts 14A and 14B as it is, and consequently, they have R, G and B light transmission parts (stripes) arranged successively in the horizontal scanning direction.
