Abstract:
PURPOSE: To index an attachment main spindle and a tool mounted on the attachment main spindle in any working direction by providing a retainer with a connecting part for transferring the rotation of a main spindle to the retainer by engaging with connecting members in such a manner tha the retainer can be freely connected to and released from the connecting members.
CONSTITUTION: A retainer 18 is provided with a connecting part 17 for transferring the rotation of a main spindle 3 to the retainer 18 by engaging with connecting member 15, 16 in such a manner that the connecting members 15, 16 can be moved and driven in the direction parallel with the shaft center CT of a base shaft part and can be freely connected to and released from the connecting members 15, 16. Thus, a main shaft attachment tool 6 mounted on the main shaft 3 is angle-indexed around the shaft center CL of a main shaft to direct the attachment shaft 11 of the main shaft atachment tool 6 in any working direction. This retains the direction of the attachment main spindle 11 to the worked direction.
