Abstract:

To provide technique capable of simply and inexpensively separating and recovering indium of high purity.

The indium adsorbent, which includes a high-molecular material having a template structure with respect to indium and of which the adsorption selection rate of indium to zinc is 2.0 or above, is provided. This indium adsorbent is obtained by absorbing an aqueous solution of a water-soluble monomer, a crosslinking agent and a polymerization initiator into a hydrophilic polymer having a carboxyl group into which indium is introduced and applying acid treatment to a polymer obtained by polymerizing the water-soluble monomer.
