PURPOSE: To enable a plurality of rooms to be controlled for their air conditioning with their common heat exchanger by a method wherein an interior of a case of a domestic air conditioner is divided into suction space connecting two suction ports with the heat exchanger being applied therebetween and a blowing space having two blowing ports connected together.

CONSTITUTION: An indoor machine 1 is constituted with a cooling heat exchanger 3, a heating heat exchanger 4 and a blower 5 being stored therein. An interior of the case 2 is divided into two section with the heat exchangers 3 and 4 being applied therebetween to divide into a suction space 6 and a blowing space 7. To the suction space 6 are connected the first and second suction ports 9 and 10, and to the blowing space 7 are connected the first and second blowing ports 11 and 12, respectively. The blowing space 7 has a blower 5 stored therein. Therefore, if the indoor machine 1 is, for example, installed in a second floor housing, a circulation path is generated in the lower room by a suction port 10, heat exchangers 3 and 4, blower 5 and a blowing port 12 and in the upper room by a suction port 9, heat exchangers 3 and 4, blowing port 11 a blower of a blower unit, respectively.
