To provide a structure wherein foreign matter is hard to deposit in a horizontal cooling passage by guiding the foreign matter having entered an induced electric coil toward the base of a flow breaking section at which an electric field is relatively weak.
The induced electric coil is constructed such that vertical cooling passages 7 are provided on an inside-diameter side and an outside-diameter side of disc coils 1 which are arranged in a plurality of stages while extending in the vertical direction, any two adjacent stages interposing a horizontal cooling passage D therebetween, and such that an insulating flow breaking section 5 is provided, which is formed so as to extend in the radial direction in the passage D. In this induced electric coil, an insulating member 8 in which holes 8A each having an upper opening are formed is secured to an upper surface portion of the section 5 close to the base of the section 5.
