Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductance measuring device and method for an electromagnet in a magnetic bearing which measures inductance of a radial position controlling electromagnet when radial position of a main shaft is placed in the center of the radial position controlling electromagnet with plural poles.
SOLUTION: Jigs 11a, 11b are inserted into a gap between the left top part of a main shaft 1 and an outer cylinder 18, and a gap between the right top part of the main shaft 1 and an outer cylinder 18, respectively. The left top part and the right top part of the main shaft 1 are tightly inserted into inner surfaces of jigs 11a, 11b, respectively. The main shaft 1 is placed in the center of the radial position controlling electromagnets 3w1-3w4 by the jigs 11a, 11b. In other words, the jigs 11a, 11b are inserted so that difference between a gap (x) between the radial position controlling electromagnets 3w1-3w4 and the main shaft 1, and a normal gap (Xo) is as small as possible. Then, a LCR measuring device 12 measures inductance L of the radial position controlling electromagnets 3w1-3w4.
