Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction hardening apparatus, etc., of a long work, in which the strain (bending) caused by the hardening of the long work is reduced and good product ratio is improved and also, the strain removing working time can be shortened.
SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with a hardening mechanism containing an induction heating coil body 210 for hardening the long work and a cooling jacket 250, an upstream side carrying mechanism 100 for feeding the long work to the induction heating coil body 210; and a downstream side carrying mechanism 300 for feeding out to the downstream side after receiving the long work portion passed through the induction heating coil body 210 and the cooling jacket 250. Further, the upstream side carrying mechanism 100 and the downstream side carrying mechanism 300 have a constitution for developing the tension in the longitudinal direction in the long work at a part positioned between both carrying mechanisms 100, 300. The strain (bending) in the long work at the hardening time is reduced by this tension.
