Title:
INDUCTION HEATING TYPE IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0323898
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a temperature of an iron base from rising abnormally even if, by any chance, a receiving device malfunction by an interference signal and hence an iron stand is heated by receiving a heating signal, by providing a second temperature-detecting device on a standby part for an iron.

CONSTITUTION: When a receiving device 35 malfunctions by jamming during ironing-work, a second temperature-detecting device 32 can not detect it. At usual ironing work, since an iron body 21 is replaced on a standby part 31 when clothes are manipulated, however, the second-temperature-detecting device 32 can detect the conduction heat transmitted to the standby part 31 when the iron body 21 is placed on the standby part 31. When this detected temperature rises and is beyond a second specified temperature, the second temperature- detecting device 32 outputs a stopping signal to an inverter 34 and the inverter 34 stops for a definite time. In this way, even if the receiving device 35 malfunctions by the jamming, an abnormal temperature rise can be prevented.
