Abstract:
To achieve improved efficiency by suppressing generation of flux saturation of a rotor core.
The induction motor 100 includes a rotor 11 that is a squirrel-cage secondary conductor formed by filling a rotor slot 13 with a non-magnetic and conductive material, and a stator 12 that surrounds the rotor 11 and has a stator core 12a with a winding wound therearound. A value obtained by dividing a diameter of the circumference of the rotor 11 by the number of the rotor teeth 15 is set to be larger than a circumferential distance between stator teeth 16 of the stator 12.
