The induction motor and a rotor of the induction motor are so constituted as to include a short-circuit ring, a first reinforcement member, and a second reinforcement member. The short-circuit ring short-circuits a plurality of conductors arranged annularly around a rotary shaft of a cylindrical rotor core for each end face of the rotor core. The first reinforcement member is fitted to the short-circuit ring. The second reinforcement member is fitted to the first reinforcement member, and fixed to the rotary shaft.
