Title:
INDUCTOR TYPE ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5486718
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency and performance of an inductor type rotary electric machine by perforating a vent hole communicating with the atmosphere at a pair of bosses facing with the inductor and providing a vent passage at a frame for enclosing a stator member. CONSTITUTION:An inductor 10 of a rotary electric machine is onstructed by alternatively providing single magnetic pole pieces 16 corresponding to the total number of the magnetic poles directly with one of bosses 12, 14 facing axially with each other at shafts 26, 28 and through non-magnetic spacer 20 with the other of the bosses 12, 14 at the opposite side faces of the bosses. Vent holes 30 are perforated at the bosses 12, 14 to communicate with the air gap 34 between the bosses 12 and 14 at the inside opening with the atmosphere via bearing box 32 of the outside opening thereof. A plurality of slit-like vent passages 38 are axially provided at a frame 36 mounted at the outer periphery of brackets 40, 42 for enlclosing a stator iron core 44 and stator winding 46. The pieces 16 operate as a fun upon rotation of the inductor 10 to intake the atmospheric air through the holes 30 and exhaust the air from the passages 38 externally.
