To provide an information abandoning device which easily deletes personal information irrespective of a position where the personal information has been written.

The information abandoning device 1 comprises a first end portion 11, a first operating portion 17, a second end portion 21, a second operating portion 27, and a fulcrum axis 31. The first end portion 11 has a plurality of projecting portions 13 and a first cutting edge portion 15. The second end portion 21 has a plurality of hole portions 23 and a second cutting edge portion 25. The projecting portions 13 can form holes on a sheet of paper having the personal information to be abandoned by being fitted into the hole portions 23. In addition, the sheet of paper having the personal information to be abandoned can be cut off by means of the first cutting edge portion 15 and the second cutting edge portion 25 like scissors. When the sheet of paper has been sheared to an appropriate portion by means of the first cutting edge portion 15 and the second cutting edge portion 25, holes can be formed on any portion of the sheet of paper by operating the first operating portion 17 and the second operating portion 27 like operating scissors, and the information written on that portion of the sheet of paper can be deleted and abandoned from the sheet of paper.
