A cellular phone terminal 2 includes: a character input control section 23 that performs a control to display predictive conversion candidates according to an input character string from a user, and to determine an input character according to a selection input of a predictive conversion candidate by the user; a history information storage section 28 that stores history information related to the determined input character and including type information representing types of the predictive conversion candidates corresponding to the input character; a tabulation section 24 that tabulates frequency information representing a frequency determined as the input character for each type of the predictive conversion candidates based on the history information; a frequency transmission section 25 for transmitting the frequency information; and a candidate reception section 26 that, in response to the transmission of the frequency information, receives additional predictive conversion candidates added based on the frequency information. The character input control section 23 displays the received additional predictive conversion candidates along with the predictive conversion candidates.
