To provide an information displaying device in which, even when something wrong occurs in a shift register of a display unit, a display control signal can be sent to the succeeding display units to continue display, the circuit constitution of the display unit is comparatively simple and control in the control unit is unchanged.
Display control signals are sent to a display unit 1a from a control section in a time-sharing transmission form and each display unit 1a is connected in series only through a buffer circuit 1a1. Each display unit 1a extracts its own display control signals from the buffer circuit 1a1 to hold its lighting control data in a shift register 1a3 and to control a constant current driving circuit 1a4 and thereby to light a LED 1a5 corresponding to the lighting control data. Since the shift register 1a3 is removed from the connection between display units 1a, no display control signal is sent by irregularity of the shift register 1a3. In addition, installment of power source lines of two systems in the buffer circuit 1a1 improves reliability also against abnormality of power source line.
