To provide an information exchange system wherein an information addition function and retrieval easiness on a recipient side are excellent, wherein information change can be performed in real time on a transmitter side, and wherein a storage space can be saved on both the recipient side and the transmitter side.
The information exchange system includes: a portable reader/writer which can perform short-distance wireless communication with a non-contact IC chip incorporated in a mobile terminal; and a server connected with the mobile terminal by a communication network based on the short-distance wireless communication between the portable reader/writer and the non-contact IC chip. The server includes an ID reception means associating and receiving an ID of the portable reader/writer and an ID of the non-contact IC chip by the short-distance wireless communication between the portable reader/writer and the non-contact IC chip, and can make the recipient transmit and browse transmitter information based on the received IDs.
