Abstract:
An information collection device (10) comprises a sitting sensor (22) that detects that a user of a toilet bowl (1) of a toilet has sat on a seat (2) mounted to an upper surface of an edge section (1c) of the toilet bowl (1), an information collection unit (24) that collects information about stool in the toilet bowl (1), and a housing (21) in which these are disposed. The information collection device (10) also comprises a bridging component (40) that, one section thereof being mounted to the upper surface of the edge section (1c) of the toilet bowl (1), clamps the edge section (1c) and bridges the inside of the edge section (1c) and the outside of the edge section (1c), and an attachment tool (30) that attaches the housing (21) and is attached to an end section (41) of the bridging component (40), said end section (41) being in the direction of the inside of the edge section (1c). The information collection device (10) further comprises an alteration mechanism that alters the distance, in a direction along an inner wall that forms the inside of the edge section (1c), from the end section (41) to the housing (21).
