To make position deviation of a seam of a write-in start position and a write-in finish position inconspicuous when visible information is printed on a label surface of an optical disk.
A CPU 10 of a host apparatus 1 generates visible information printed on a whole surface of a label 4 consisting of an information display film attached to the label surface of an optical disk 3, the generated visible information is converted to printing information from its printing start part to a printing finish part of a position exceeding the printing start part rounding the label surface while a part at which variation of an image is the least in the direction of the circumference of the optical disk 3 serves as the printing start part, and outputted to an optical disk apparatus 2. A CPU 30 of the optical apparatus 2 drives a thermal head 33, a thermal head control circuit 34, a roller apparatus 35, and a roller apparatus control circuit 36 based on the printing information, and prints visible information from an arbitrary position of the label 4.
