Abstract:
To reduce a load on processing performed in a printer.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus comprises: a request unit that, when receiving an instruction of copy unit printing based on image data and copy number data indicating the number of copies of the image data, requests a printer to notify the size of a free space of a memory for print data storage; and a selection unit that, based on the size of the free space notified from the printer according to the request from the request unit, and a partial print data size that is the size of print data including part of the image data and the copy number data, selects to transmit the partial print data including part of the image data to the printer, or to transmit copy number print data including the image data in a number equal to the number of copies indicated by the copy number data to the printer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
