Abstract:

To obtain an information processing apparatus, a switching method in the apparatus, and a switching program in the apparatus, capable of shortening a stop time up to the start of operation even when an electric component as a target of operation is in a diagnostic state.

An operation means 12 operates the apparatus by use of an apparatus part 11 in which one of electric components provided with a plurality of identical functions is selectably disposed. A status monitoring means 15 monitors the status of each electric component. When a fault detecting means 13 detects a fault in the electric component under operation, a fault time control means 17 carries out selection control of the apparatus part 11 in accordance with the settings of a fault time action setting means 16.
