Abstract:
To solve a problem in which: even if there is a possibility that a firmware could not be read normally due to a shortened life of an SSD, it is impossible to report that the error could be caused by the shortened life of the SSD.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to an information processing apparatus having a non-volatile semiconductor memory for storing a program relating to activation. The apparatus is characterized by having notification means for reporting information, first determination means for determining whether or not there is any alteration of the program relating to the activation, acquiring means for acquiring life information of the semiconductor memory, and second determination means for determining whether or not the life information satisfies a condition, and characterized in that the notification means reports at least the information relating to the life of the semiconductor memory if the first determination means determines that there is the alteration and the second determination means determines that the life information satisfies the condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
