Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which prevents distribution of packets for a plurality of output destinations to which packets can not be distributed, and thereby performs uniform distribution.SOLUTION: The device creates a destination selection number for distribution output by using a hash value related with a received packet, a distribution output destination total number N, and an inactive output destination number x. It decodes the destination selection number for distribution output to a selection number bit map of the N bits. It creates the selection number bit map which does not select the inactive output destination by carrying out bit shift operation of the selection number bit map referring to an output destination state bit map. It selects an output destination out of the plurality of distribution output destinations by the selection number bit map.
