Abstract:

To provide an information processing apparatus, program, system and method, allowing reduction of labor of a user necessary for user registration.

The information processing apparatus 50 transmits a prescribed request packet to an electric appliance 20, receives a response packet for distinguishing the kind of the electric appliance 20 from the electric appliance 20 having transmitted the request packet, compares a previously stored definition file and the response packet, and performs score getting (scoring). The information processing apparatus 50 extracts a definition file having a high score, determines the kind of the electric appliance 20 with electric appliance information of the definition file as electric appliance information of the electric appliance 20, and executes the user registration based on the determined electric appliance information.
